About Sommaripa Consolato Paros
Sommaripa Consolato is an all-day coffee bar in the picturesque harbor known for its nightlife, in Naoussa, Paros. The Cycladic architecture, a small balcony and the view of the fishing boats while drinking your cocktail is forming the character of Sommaripa Consolato.
The Request
For creating the logo we wanted to turn the brand name into an image. Therefore we worked with our first element, the lion which came from the Sommaripa family. The Sommaripa were one of the oldest and most aristocratic Venetian families of the Cyclades and the Somaripa coat of arms adorning their flags depicted a lion.
The hat was added to the lion because of the Consolato, which means consulate in italian. It all added up to a design with clear lines, remarkable and memorable and one of the most recognizable and characteristic logos around the island.
